Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) is focused on maintaining the mechanical integrity of pressure equipment and minimizing the risks associated with loss of containment due to deterioration. With the Operational Sustainability® (OS) OESuite® RBI Module, users can achieve a holistic view of potential risks versus time-based inspection to reduce risk and ultimately focus resources where they matter most.
The OESuite® RBI Module offers a rigorous API RBI quantitative methodology, with the benefits of qualitative RBI templates, capable of tying the operating variables driving damage mechanisms to an acceptable operating range. Changes to damage mechanisms (e.g., addition of chemical injection points, feedstock variability, etc.) can be tracked in near real-time and cost benefits can be calculated to determine the optimum inspection interval.

- API 653 (atmospheric tank information)
- API 571 (damage mechanisms)

The OESuite® RBI Module is also optimized to ensure pressure relief device inspections are scheduled as far out as is practical based on risk and ensure process changes are factored into potential requirements in design information. The RBI Module also features a flexible calculation engine to support other proprietary calculations and is designed to support different sets of calculations with different formulas per parameter.
With the OESuite® RBI Module, users can:
- Automate notifications for key stakeholders when potential equipment integrity issues arise
- Generate inspection tasks to address the damage mechanism according to the risk
- Screen operating units to identify areas of high risk
- Estimate risk values associated with the operation of each equipment item based on a consistent methodology

- Integrate RBI data into the turnaround process that incorporates drag-and-drop scheduling into time-based inspection and generate or revise a comprehensive inspection strategy in the OESuite® Inspection Management + Mobile Module
- Redline documents, ensure process safety information stays harmonized, and reduce the effort required to circuitize a plant with the OESuite® Document Management + Mobile Module
- Observe and evaluate changes that normally go undetected before implementation, shorten inspection intervals, trigger seamless Management of Change (MOC) reviews, remove equipment dead legs, and add chemical injection points in the OESuite® MOC + Mobile Module
- Stay ahead of potential repairs and reduce risk by identifying the assets, asset components, damage mechanisms, documents, material specifications, and other necessary components within the OESuite® Corrosion Circuit Document (CCD) / Integrity Operating Window (IOW) Analysis Feature as part of the OESuite® Asset Analysis Module
